Adelaide Oval set for new multimillion-dollar technology investment

Patrons of the redeveloped Adelaide Oval have been promised improved mobile coverage as part of a new multimillion-dollar investment in the venue.
In a plan to turn the thriving stadium into one of Australia's most technically advanced venues, telecommunications company Telstra is upgrading the existing mobile coverage and installing more than 1,000 new screens.
The main entrance is also set to undergo a full upgrade and will be renamed the Telstra Plaza.
Adelaide Oval has recently undergone a $535 million redevelopment, with crowd numbers up significantly in 2014.
Adelaide Oval Stadium Management Authority Chairman John Olsen told AFL.com.au that the venues aims to be seen as one of the "world's greatest sporting ovals".
Olsen added "football fans in particular tend to be big data users, so this increased capacity will be great news for the tens of thousands who come to watch AFL football here every week."
