ASTN and Sports Analytics Conference partner to drive sport technology growth

The Australian Sports Analytics Conference and the Australian Sports Technologies Network (ASTN) have announced a partnership that will help drive the continued growth of Australia’s sports technology industry.
New and current ‘business & start-up’ members of the ASTN will be offered one complimentary ticket to the Australian Sports Analytics Conference as a part of the deal.
The Conference, to be held in Melbourne on 4th August, is the largest Sports Analytics event in the world outside of the MIT Sports Analytics Conference in Boston.
Commenting on the partnership, ASTN Executive Director Rachel Piastri stated “we are delighted to announce this partnership which will help drive continued value to our member base.
“Both the Australian Sports Analytics Conference and the ASTN have a vested interest in ensuring Australia remains one of the world’s leading sports innovation countries.”
Australian Sports Analytics Conference founder and Executive Director John Persico added “it is important that industry leaders like ourselves work together to promote the sector both domestically, but also internationally.
“We are working together on a number of initiatives with the ASTN, which includes a Sports Analytics World Championship and various sports trade initiatives. We look forward to rolling out an international world series of the Conference into markets like China, India, the UK and Japan, which will provide the opportunity for our sports tech companies to promote themselves on the world stage.”
