ASTN and etrainu open first program in new ‘Sports Tech Startup Series’
Australian Sports Technologies Network (ASTN), the leading industry body for sports technology and innovation, has partnered with etrainu, the leaders in community education solutions, to announce that enrolments are officially opened for the first program in its new ‘Sports Tech Startup Series’.
etrainu have partnered with some of the largest sports organisations in the world, including US Youth Soccer (USYS), American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO), PGA Tour, Gymnastics Australia, Hockey Australia and Surf Life Saving Australia.
The on demand ASTN pre-accelerator eLearning modules are open to Australia’s emerging sportstech entrepreneurs – allowing them to tap into a rich ecosystem of world-class industry backed and endorsed content, from anywhere at any time.
The first course ‘Early-Stage Commercialisation’ offers pre-accelerator eLearning modules for early-stage startups in the idea/concept phase, initial testing phase, or first MVP phase.
The course is adapted from ASTN’s 10 week Early-Stage Pre-Accelerator Program that was launched in 2021 and is the first and only sportstech industry-specific program in Australia and in the APAC region.
The Early-Stage Commercialisation course offers four hours of exclusive learning content over three modules:
- Module 1: Cluster of Innovation
- Module 2: Research and Innovation
- Module 3: Promoting, Leading and Financing
Participants will learn how to understand the cluster of innovation and validation required to help commercialise a startup; recognise why some business models fail and mitigate the risk of starting a business. As well as understand the support systems required to turn an idea into a viable commercial entity.
Amy Crosland, Manager – Program Operations and Projects, ASTN shared “we’re looking forward to kicking off the first of many courses in ASTN’s ‘Sportstech Startup Series’. Through the etrainu platform, more people will have the opportunity to start their sportstech innovation journey by tapping into world-class content, mentors, and industry connections. We encourage sports entrepreneurs from researchers and athletes to practitioners and corporates to enrol.”
Cameron O’Riordan, VP Sales, etrainu added “The sports community is growing exponentially at the moment. We’re excited for our partnership with ASTN and the courses offered through the Sportstech Startup Series to help create education pathways for founders and leaders within the sports community.”
Participants will receive a certificate of completion upon finishing the course. For a limited time only, the first 10 enrolments will receive an introductory price of $99 for the ‘Early-Stage Commercialisation’ course. Use code: ASTNINTRO99.
