Athletic Republic set for Australian launch on the Sunshine Coast
Athletic Republic, which trains more than a million athletes through its 125 training centres around the world, is set to launch its first Australian facility on the Sunshine Coast in early 2018.
Bringing its equipment and science-based protocols to the Australian market for the very first time, Athletic Republic will open a new, purpose-built site at Sippy Downs at the heart of the region's health precincts.
Athletic Republic is known for being much more than a gym with weights and treadmills, with its training methodology forged over almost 30 years of practice and application in the USA.
The new performance sports training centre will offer acceleration training for athletes from youth to professional levels, and their AR-FIT program which is an adult fitness program that specialises in high intensity interval training.
The company's sport-specific, individualised programming is internationally recognised for delivering real results and equipping individual based on analysing their strengths to make them faster, stronger, and more agile.
Athletic Republic's Sunshine Coast Director Scott Toms said the company's mission is to help every athlete of any age to reach their full athletic potential by providing access to training that was previously only available to elite athletes.
Toms explained "my business partner, Daryn Griggs identified a huge gap in the facilities and types of training currently offered locally so he went looking for options overseas and after we both visited Athletic Republic HQ in Park City, Utah we knew it was the only company for us.
"Our goal in opening this training centre, a first in Australia, is to leverage Athletic Republic's 27 years of research and bring the most scientifically proven programs available to our shores.
"The Sunshine Coast is already a hub for training and elite sportspeople and the proximity of our centre to the University and other health oriented facilities is ideal, but we can show parents, youth, schools, clubs and all types of athletes how to train smarter and better.”
Athletic Republic training is designed for athletes looking to gain a competitive edge, sport-performance trainers keen to learn scientifically-proven training techniques and potential new business owners wanting to make a difference in the health and fitness industry.
Athletic Republic Chief Executive Charlie Graves sees Australia as being well-matched market for the company's expansion into the Asia Pacific region.
