Australian Sport Technologies Network to host NSW event, announces 2013 conference details

The Australian Sport Technologies Network (ASTN) is to host its first event in NSW on Wednesday 26th June.
The free event, entitled 'The Future of Sports Technologies in Australia' will be held at the New South Wales Institute of Sport at Sydney Olympic Park.
It will include the following presentations:
Commercialising Australian Sports Technologies - Craig Hill, Executive Director, ASTN and James Demetriou, Chair, ASTN
The role of data in growing sport participation at the State and National level - Alex Mednis, Director, thinkrelativity
Sports apparel and Technology - Mark Doherty, General Manager of Product, ASICS
Stadiums and Innovation - David Fleming, Business Development Manager, Populous
Cricket and Technology - Murray Creed, Founder, Centre Wicket
Sports Science and the role of research into furthering technology - Professor Keith Lyons, Sport Studies, University of Canberra
Genetic Profiling of Elite athletes, what makes the perfect player? - Professor Maria Fiatarone Singh, Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Sydney.
Workshop on the NSW Node Activities, and opportunity for attendees to contribute to the future of the ASTN - Alex Mednis and Craig Hill
ASTN has also announced that its second Annual Conference will be held in Melbourne on Monday 14th and Tuesday 15th October.
The even aims to bring together leaders across the sports technologies industry; from the sports goods industry, national sporting organisations, sports technology researchers, sports practitioners, sports technology businesses and investors.
Launched in April 2012, the ASTN is a national collaborative network focused on developing Australia's sports technologies industry, aimed at driving the commercialisation of sports technologies in Australia.
