Bowls Australia rolls on with IMG STG
June 12, 2013

With bowls in Australia going through a period of significant growth in the past decade, and with hundreds of new members joining the sport each year, Bowls Australia and state and territory bowls associations have found a need to re-vamp and design their entire national website and online management system.

As of 3rd June 2013, Bowls in Australia has announced an exciting new collaboration with IMG Sports Technology Group (IMG STG) to be the sole provider of online solutions, to meet the sport's specific needs.

The partnership will see IMG STG provide Bowls in Australia with new and improved national, state and territory websites that will include a 'best-in-class' membership platform and online payment system that is already being utilised by many other prominent Australian sporting bodies.

The entire system, developed in-house by IMG STG's expert creative team will give Bowls Australia and the state and territory Associations the opportunity to tailor a brand new national website specific to their brand requirements.

The new and improved website, supplied by IMG STG will integrate seamlessly, their new Membership, Event Registration and Online Shop Modules.

The new easy-to-use online payment system will provide a more user-friendly process to bowls members. This will provide the sport with a significant decrease in overall administration workload, thus allowing the staff more time to focus on growing their brand and attracting new participants to the already well-established sport.

IMGSTG Chief Executive Glen McGoldrick is excited to be collaborating with such a key Australian sport, stating "it is an honour to be involved in such an exciting partnership with a sport that truly forms part of the fabric of sport in Australia.

"Lawn Bowls has such a rich history and tradition and holds a special place in the Australian sporting landscape."

Bowls Australia Chief Executive Neil Dalrymple, is also looking forward to further enhancing their website and efficiency through the new technology provided by IMG STG.

"Bowls Australia and the State and Territory Associations are extremely pleased to be joining IMG STG's stable of sports.

"We are especially looking forward to providing our state and territory associations, and our clubs, with access to the features and tools that will be made available to them through this agreement.

"By having all levels of associations, from national level down to club and grassroots level, on the IMG STG system will make processes simpler and reduce the workload for all bodies involved, and will enable the sport to become efficient through the use of technology."
