Cleveland Cavaliers revenue head to deliver Commercial Keynote at 2016 Sports Fan Summit

Organisers of the 2016 Sports Fan Summit have announced that the Cleveland Cavaliers’ Senior Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer Brad Sims will be delivering the conference’s commercial keynote presentation.

The winner of the Sales & Commercial section of the Leaders' 2015 Global Under 40 Awards, Sims is responsible for driving revenue for the Cavaliers and their other sports properties, managing and directing all efforts related to ticket sales, hospitality, corporate partnerships, database marketing and analytics.

Sims’ Australian links saw the Cavaliers host their an ‘Australia Day Game presented by UP&GO, the official Australian Breakfast of the Cleveland Cavaliers’ earlier this year – the product of the Cavaliers’ partnership with Sanitarium and UP&GO.

The promotion an NBA first in activating a team’s assets in another country and was a significant departure from previous NBA norms.

Sims’ Keynote at the 2016 Sports Fan Summit will discuss both the context and content of this ground-breaking partnership and will see him sharing important lessons about ‘away from home’ partnerships.

The annual Sports Fan Summit is returning to the Melbourne Cricket Ground from 27th to 29th June, with a program specifically developed to enhance learning about all aspect of fan engagement.

As in previous years, conference organiser Simon Arkwright of the Sport Research Group expects that the conference will be attended by many of Australian's most senior sport marketers and sport business executives, gathering to learn from executives from some of the world's leading sports teams and venues discussing their own experiences; primarily through the use of case-studies.
