Congress to explore future strategies for stadiums and arenas
October 15, 2018

Returning for its third edition this week, the Australia and New Zealand Stadium and Arena Congress will feature international and Australian thought leaders who will share innovative strategies to help delegates in delivering the next generation of stadiums and arenas and ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer experiences and commercial success.

Being held at Sydney’s ANZ Stadium from 17th to 19th October, the 3rd Annual Stadium and Arena Congress is being presented at a time of massive interest in the stadiums and arenas market, following the opening of Perth’s Optus Stadium earlier this year, the current development of the North Queensland and Western Sydney Stadiums, plans for the new Christchurch Arena and last week’s announcement of the design for the new Sydney Football Stadium.

Each of these venues, as well as Australia and New Zealand’s existing stock of stadiums and arenas, needs to stay across the latest developments in the sector, and with a range of thought provoking presentations, the 3rd Annual Stadium and Arena Congress is set to be the leading event in the sector this year.

Among a range of presentations, the Congress will feature presentations on the versatility and multi functionality of the Singapore Sports Hub and how it uses non-event days to increasing revenue generation; innovations in fan experience at Optus Stadium, experiences from the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia; how the Stade de France in Paris is implementing security and safety measures in light of recent terrorist attacks; and on how the Minnesota US Bank Stadium is delivering on its promise to be the ‘people’s stadium’.

Looking forward to the Congress, Rhea Kamath, Marketing Manager for event organiser IQPC, explains “in a competitive operating environment, it has become essential that stadium owners and operators offer a multi-purpose and connected environment that responds to rapidly changing audience demographics, enables revenue generation and lures fans away from their big screen TVs at home.”
