Ezidebit and SportLogic announce inTennis software
January 13, 2010

A collaboration between electronic payment specialists Ezidebit and SportLogic, a market leader of sports business management software, has resulted in the upgrade launch of the award-winning inTennis software, an integrated direct debit solution for the tennis industry and the first of its kind for the sector.

Now available for businesses in Australia and New Zealand, inTennis incorporates direct debit functionality into its management software, allowing tennis centre operators and coaches to collect fees via bank accounts and credit cards without a merchant account.

Mark Chen, Chief Executive of SportLogic, said partnering with Ezidebit and accessing the direct debit functionality developed by the company was a coup, and provides inTennis with a benefit no other software providers can equal.

Chen explained "the direct debit functionality provided by Ezidebit was a deal breaker for us in a number of areas. Overall, the inTennis software now means setting up and managing one-off or recurrent direct debit payments has never been easier and this is a crucial point for both tennis centres and tennis coaches, as chasing payments can be a logistical and administrative nightmare, as well as time consuming.

"The set up information is entered once into inTennis and payments are collected automatically on the scheduled dates. This system not only helps businesses to improve their cash flow and administrative costs, but it is also a welcome and convenient payment method for their customers."

"We are thrilled to have been able to partner with Ezidebit and introduce such an exciting feature to our service. It helps our customers to receive payments on-time and have fewer receivables outstanding."

Ezidebit Chief Executive Charlie Holland said integration had been an operational focus for some time, with the launch of inTennis one of the first rollouts, explaining "in a tight economy, businesses need to be particularly vigilant about getting paid on time, and regularly, to keep cash flowing. By using

Ezidebit functionality, inTennis removes the need for businesses or coaches to have to ask for money from clients each session or periodically.

"Not only is the Ezidebit functionality in inTennis a coup for the sector, but it works in favor of the customer as well, in locking down payment dates and amounts, so they too can set and forget. It takes what can be a very time-heavy administration function away from both company and client, freeing both for other tasks.

"One of the leading reasons why many businesses in Australia fail is because of inadequate cash flow, not profit, and in the majority of cases this is because customers donât adhere to billing periods, be they on delivery, seven days, 30, 60 or longer. A critical mass of outstanding payments can be the closure calling card for businesses of all shapes and sizes.

"By facilitating electronic payments through inTennis, this negates such a threat and allows the tennis centers or coaches to focus on what they do best â running their business, teaching tennis and developing their client base and business offer."
