FIFA extends cooperation with football turf ‘preferred producers’

World football governing body FIFA has extended the 'preferred producer' status of key global providers of artificial turf which FIFA refers to as 'football turf'.
The FIFA Quality Program introduced the Preferred Producer initiative for football turf in 2009, and since then FIFA has had extended cooperation agreements with football turf manufacturers that fulfil additional criteria in comparison to other licensees.
In 2011, the number of FIFA Preferred Producers was increased to nine, up from the initial five, and once again nine companies will be part of the FIFA Preferred Producer initiative over the course of the next two years.
FIFA has successfully extended its cooperation agreements with eight companies, whereas another has made the step up from licensee to FIFA Preferred Producer.
Among these links, CCGrass has become the first China-based manufacturer to be a FIFA Preferred Producer.
The nine FIFA Preferred Producers are:
Act Global
CCGrass
Edel Grass
FieldTurf Inc.
Greenfields B.V.
Limonta Sport S.P.A.
Polytan|STI
Saltex Oy and

Event organisers Intermedia have also announced that the second National Synthetic Surfaces Conference & Expo will be held on 3rd and 4th June 2014.
