Griffith City Council launches new online platform for booking of parks and facilities
April 12, 2023

Griffith City Council has launched a new online booking platform called ‘Bookable’ which allows anyone, anywhere, anytime, to book one of Council’s 22 available venues.

Whether a sportsground for a football match, Kooyoo Street Mall for a fundraising event, the Alpini Shelter at Lake Wyangan for a family celebration, or a court at the Griffith Regional Sports Centre for a school’s PE class – all can now be booked online with ease.

The new platform features a user-friendly design with easy browsing to help the end user explore all the Council venues available for their activity. Users can search for venues based on their specific activity, preferred venue or date.

Griffith Mayor Doug Curran notes “the Bookable system has been specifically designed for Local Government and means users will have an identical experience booking any Council venue, whether it’s a study room in the Library or the Community Gardens for a large public event.

“Each venue consists of images, descriptions and attributes. Users can easily view what features are available at each venue such as accessibility, car parking, amenities and WiFi. It’s like online grocery shopping, and the user just needs to pick their desired venue, date, time and purpose with the added benefit of online payment.”

The new platform can be found at griffith.bookable.net.au/
