Entrance control experts Gunnebo have highlighted how fast and efficient entry is paramount to customer experience and how its Quikscan technology offers a customised, complete solution to streamline the ticket validation process.

Mugridge explains that “QuikScan brings customers, venues, and ticketing agencies together using seamless integration. Whether tickets are purchased online from major agencies or printed locally, they can be scanned quickly and accurately at any QuikScan portal.

“Admission scanning portals are customised to best suit your venue. QuikScan works with turnstiles, swing gates, corporate/members entrances, handheld scanners and portable turnstiles.”

What does QuikScan do?
Multiple providers' tickets can be scanned at any portal because external sellers can upload information remotely, while the venue can also provide event information directly using a host computer and QuikScan Livestats.

Tickets are scanned and validated in real time, so staff members can focus on better customer service, including greeting customers and offering necessary assistance.

Real time validation also means that newly purchased tickets are uploaded into the server straight away, invalid tickets are rejected instantly, and adults attempting to use children's tickets are identified immediately via visual concession ticket identification.

It's not just about getting into the event. QuikScan devices can also be used to monitor exiting, scanning patrons as they leave the venue, and revalidating tickets if desired.
