SportsHub Pte Ltd and HG Sports Turf, Australasia’s leading stadia pitch design, construct and maintenance company, and partner of the Singapore Sports Hub in turf supply and maintenance, have announced the completion of their contract work for the Singapore National Stadium.

Consistent with SportsHub Pte Ltd’s (SHPL) long-term plan to leverage global expertise and support the localisation of its turf management, the Singaporean company, TEHC International Pte Ltd has commenced its new appointment with Singapore Sports Hub as the local pitch solutions provider.

During their three-year tenure, HG Sports Turf’s ‘ready to play’ turf system met the expectations and demands of a variety of events within the unique environment of the Singapore National Stadium. These included the Southeast Asian Games, Barclays Asia Trophy, International Champions Cup, Super Rugby, and HSBC Singapore Rugby Sevens.

To ensure a seamless transition from Singapore National Stadium to TEHC, HG Sports Turf will offer consultation to TEHC, with the Singapore company having already been part of the early start-up teams involved in the Stadium’s turf management alongside SHPL, understudying and participating in all areas of the supply chain.

During HG Sports Turf’s contract period, TEHC supported the company with local resources at both the stadium and the turf nursery.

Additionally, in line with SHPL’s commitment to constantly review and improve the venue’s turf, a panel of renowned expert advisors will be formed to support TEHC and SHPL in ongoing research and developmental efforts on pitch management.

Looking back on the company’s achievement at the Stadium, HG Sports Turf Managing Director Hamish Sutherland commented “we are extremely proud of our achievements over the tenue of our contract, and we support SHPL’s decision to localise the Singapore National Stadium turf supply and maintenance contract.
