Hockey Australia partners with IMG STG
Hockey Australia (HA) and IMG Sports Technology Group (IMGSTG) have formed a partnership that will see IMG STG provide a range of services to help grow hockey in Australia.
Central to the partnership is the provision of a new national website, in addition to the provision of IMGSTG's 'best-in-class' technology that is currently utilised by over 38 National Sports Organisations and Elite Sporting Bodies around the world.
The new member database and online payments gateway will allow hockey to provide better services to members, reduce volunteer administration workload, accurately report participation numbers and attract new participants to the sport. The technology partnership will also see Hockey implement a new online payment system as used by many of Australia's prominent sporting entities including Swimming Australia and Cycling Australia.
IMG STG Chief Executive, Brian Cooney, is delighted to work with one of Australia's most prominent sporting organisations, stating "the new partnership with Hockey Australia ties in perfectly with our renewed focus on the team sports market now that we have added competition management to our suite of products and the united way in which the National and State bodies have approached this project has been very encouraging."

Work has begun on the implementation of the various platforms for Hockey Australia with the roll out to commence over the course of the next few months.
