IMG STG event clients break records in New Zealand
February 24, 2014

The Routeburn Classic and Rotorua Marathon are breaking records in New Zealand in 2014 with the Routeburn Classic selling out in only three days and the Rotorua Marathon on track to break event registration records.

Entries have been flowing in for the upcoming Rotorua Marathon, to be held on Saturday 5th May, with almost 5,000 people already entered.

Commenting on the interest, Athletics New Zealand Commercial and Marketing Manager Carl Jackson explains "we are well on track to exceed 6000 entries, which would be a record for the event, in its 50 year history."

Entries are also coming in fast for the Copthorne Rotorua Off-Road Half Marathon, the State Ocean Swim Series and the Tough Guy and Gal Challenge.

These events all use IMG Sports Technology Group's (IMG STG's) event registration and management solution system to register their participants.

Jackson is enthusiastic about the technology, stating "as event organisers, we have found the IMG STG platform excellent in processing entries for the 50th Rotorua Marathon. We have had zero complaints from existing or new participants and this is important in maintaining our excellent customer satisfaction record."

IMG STG's event registration platform is currently being used by approximately 50 events across New Zealand. The system enables participants to register as an individual or team, resulting in a streamlined process, where entrants don't have to register and pay separately.
