Innovative SportsBox locker looks to ‘change the way Australia plays’

Designed to support active lifestyles and encourage outdoor play, new venture SportsBox has launched a self-serve hiring locker system providing sports equipment on demand.
Partnering with Decathlon, the world’s largest sports equipment retailer, the innovative self-service lockers are stocked with free-to-use sports gear - from basketballs to beach volleyballs - so that anyone can play, anytime across the SportsBox network.
Already linking with Queensland’s Department of Sport, Racing and Olympic and Paralympic Games, SportsBox is currently rolling out 25 of its lockers across Queensland. These lockers will offer free access to sports equipment in key locations in the Gold Coast, Brisbane, Moreton Bay, Sunshine Coast and Wide Bay regions, making it for those wanting to participate to play, move and connect with others.
To access the network of lockers, users just need to go through the SportsBox app.
Aiming to create to “change the way Australia plays”, SportsBox is currently seeking investors to back its expansion.
