Innovative technology to reduce queues at 1300SMILES Stadium

NCR Corporation has announced that it has successfully deployed its NCR venue management solution at 1300SMILES Stadium in North Queensland, the home ground of the North Queensland Cowboys National Rugby League team.

NCR and 1300SMILES Stadium have implemented EFTPOS along with 'tap and go' technology, at food and beverage outlets throughout the 26,500-capacity stadium - the solution being fully integrated into NCR Venue Manager, which provides the stadium management real-time sales information from every one of the 75 NCR POS terminals in its F&B outlets.

North Queensland Cowboys Chief Executive Peter Jourdain explains "the solution was trialled during the Bulldogs match and feedback from our members and supporters was overwhelmingly positive.

"Utilising technology to improve the game day experience for fans is welcome."

The NCR solution has been selected to streamline operations, deliver an unparalleled level of service and help deliver a world-class experience. It also enables the stadium to accurately report, analyze and forecast sales, which helps reduce waste and control costs.

1300SMILES Stadium Manager Glenn Arboit added "making every patron experience exceptional is key to the success of a good stadium.

"With NCR Venue Manager installed, we are able to reduce queue times allowing fans to get their food and beverages quicker and increase the overall speed of service so the fans can spend more time watching the game rather than in the queue."
