Intelligent Marking technology represents future in sports ground line marking

Intelligent Marking technology represents future in sports ground line marking
October 7, 2017

The world’s first robotic line marking technology, which works autonomously on all types of sportsfields, is now available in Australia.

Developed in Denmark, Intelligent Marking’s Intelligent One brings to an end the time-consuming and resource-intensive task of sports field line marking with its automated line marking system.

Able to mark multiple sportsfield types - including cricket, football, hockey, rugby league and rugby union - the Intelligent One uses Real Time Kinematic (RTK) - Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) navigation for high-accuracy positioning, providing an accuracy of better than +/- 1 cm. For Australia, an AFL marking capability will soon be introduced.

The unit’s battery life enables four full-sized fields to be marked before having to re-stock and charge, with a full sized football field taking just 35 minutes to mark.

The robot is managed using a tablet with a dedicated, smart app that enables the user to easily manage all relevant parts of the automatic line marking process.

Intelligent One features:

• Two brushless electric 135 Watt engines.
• Advanced integrated spray-paint module, with replaceable cone nozzle, adjustable line width, adjustable nozzle height, spray discs with automatic lift-function for accurate, sharp lines.
• The robot is managed by using a tablet with a dedicated, smart app that enables the user to easily manage all relevant parts of the automatic line marking process.
• Intelligent One is easy on the environment, saving up to 80% in paint consumption

Intelligent One comes with a durable Samsung Galaxy Active Tab rugged tablet which is IP67 certified for dust and water ingress to ensure operation in all kinds of weather and conditions.

The tablet comes installed with an application that provides everything needed in order to operate the Intelligent One.

The application has four main areas, including the Dashboard, which provides an operational overview.

The Route Planner makes for easy setup of pitches.

The Tool Management menu enables the operator to manually control the robot as well as performing various maintenance functions.

The Robot Status menu gives users an overview of the current status of the Intelligent One.

The Intelligent One is available in Australia from RoboTech Enterprises Pty Ltd.
