Labosport, the world leading independent tester of sports surfaces and sports equipment, has established a new operating base for Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific region.

As part of an ongoing strategy for international growth, Labosport Australasia will link with Labosport’s operating bases in France, UK, Canada, Italy, China, USA and Portugal.

Founded in 1993, Labosport is the world’s leading sports surface test institute and is accredited by all of the major international sports federations playing on synthetic surfaces. The company operates under four business lines: Testing & Certification, Technical Assistance & Consultancy, Audit & Diagnosis and Education & Training.

Labosport has appointed Keith McAuliffe as Managing Director of Labosport Australasia. McAuliffe has over 30 years’ experience in sports turf, construction and drainage and has written in excess of 300 technical papers and articles and presented at over 250 conferences and seminars.

McAuliffe has coordinated many significant contracts with numerous national and international sports bodies, including: FIFA, Asian Football Confederation, World Bowls Board, Asian Cricket Council, ICC, BCCI, PCB, NZ Cricket, Bowls Australia, Hong Kong Government, Singapore Sports Council, Commonwealth Games, Asian Games and South Pacific Games.

Labosport Australasia will ensure that Labosport provides its clients and partners located in the region with world class consultancy and performance testing services in both natural and synthetic surfaces.
