With a focus on connecting gamers with nutritional solutions that help optimise performance, avoiding the dip of traditional energy drinks, and combat the effects of blue light, leading Oceanic esports provider LetsPlay.Live (LPL) has announced their partnership with Fonterra and their brain performance supplement, BioKodeLab.

BioKodeLab is the latest innovation from global dairy nutrition leader, Fonterra.

Fonterra describe the product as “a supplement system designed to support brain performance in today’s digital-reliant, fast paced world. Using dairy as the platform, with supporting essential vitamins and plant-based ingredients, the BioKodeLab range aims to support mental clarity, stress response and immune health.”

With over 140 years’ experience in dairy expertise, Fonterra has earned a reputation as world leaders in dairy science and nutrition. This expertise has now been applied to optimising adult brains in a world where there is an ever-increasing reliance on digital technologies for work, play, and connection.

Prolonged screen time exposure is particularly evident in the gaming industry with esports players spending anywhere from 5-15 hours per day, 3-6 days per week honing their craft. With this requires a set of nutritional needs to support optimal performance¹.

As a partner of LPL, BioKodeLab will feature across all broadcasted LPL pro leagues and various digital platforms. LPL will connect elite esport athletes and figureheads in the industry – as well as their community of gamers and esports fans – to an alternative to the traditional caffeine-based, sugary products associated with gaming.

The BioKodeLab range contains no caffeine or added sugar, instead is powered by dairy, essential vitamins, minerals and a blue light filter - something that LPL Managing Director Duane Mutu says makes the product stand out from the rest.

Mutu notes “Nutritional and physical health is a major part of maintaining a healthy lifestyle, especially in the digital age. BioKodeLab products are a fantastic alternative to energy drinks. LPL are thrilled to be partnering with this brand and its industry-breaking product with the expertise and trust of Fonterra’s leading science behind it.”

Carl MacInnes, Fonterra’s Director of Sales & Marketing Disruption adds “partnering with LPL provides Fonterra with an authentic opportunity to connect BioKodeLab with the gaming community.

“We know that gaming, with prolonged exposure to blue light, can take a physical and cognitive toll on gamers. We also know that brain performance, stress management, gut health and blue light from screens are some of the problems gamers seek to solve through nutrition. BioKodeLab has been scientifically formulated to help meet these needs.”

There are currently three BioKodeLab products available to consumers online in New Zealand: Focus Plus, Calm Plus and Probiotic Plus. Go to biokodelab.com for more information
