‘Loaded tickets’ to enhance fan experience at Suncorp Stadium

Suncorp Stadium is leading the way with innovations to enhance the customer experience on game days.

Stadium General Manager Alan Graham announced that Suncorp Stadium will introduce 'loaded tickets', a brand new technology in Australia, and will work with its anchor tenants, the Brisbane Broncos, the Queensland Reds and Brisbane Roar to roll it out to their respective members in the coming months.

Graham explained "loaded tickets allow a value to be pre-loaded on their event tickets or membership cards for food, beverages and merchandise.

"It's as simple as scanning the barcode at outlets throughout the Stadium to redeem the value.

"Not only do loaded tickets reduce queue times and increase the speed of service, they eliminate the need to carry extra cash or credit cards. They're also a reward for the loyal members of the clubs that play their home games at Suncorp Stadium.

"The loaded ticket concept is completely new to Australia and we are proud to be a pioneer in offering this service. It will help our venue caterer, Spotless Services, take customer service around food and beverage outlets at the Stadium to a new level."

The 'loaded ticket' service was developed by NCR Corporation, a US based global company specialising in self-service solutions in retail, financial, travel, hospitality and entertainment sectors in more than 100 countries.

NCR is best known to Australians for its bank ATMs and supermarket self-checkout systems.

The solution is fully integrated into the venue's existing NCR Venue Manager, which gives the stadium real-time sales information from every one of the 280 NCR point-of-sale (POS) terminals in its 24 food and beverage outlets and 32 public bars. NCR Venue Manager enables the stadium to accurately report, analyse and forecast sales, which helps reduce wastage and keep costs down.
