New technology platform connects Australian netball family

Netball Australia has announced a partnership with Melbourne based online sport management company, InteractSport, to provide a new technology platform that will connect the Australian netball family of players, fans and volunteers.
The new platform, called MyNetball, will provide competition and membership management, including online registrations for the sport.
Netball Australia Chief Executive Kate Palmer said that while netball has had a database and technology system in place for 15 years now, the new InteractSport platform will allow the sport to take the next step and engage and communicate with its constituents in a compelling way.
Palmer said that there had been true collaboration across the sport as the eight state and territory Membership Organisations worked with Netball Australia and InteractSport to realise the vision of a world class platform that will encourage the growth of netball at the grassroots level.
Palmer explained "we have the opportunity to use this new technology to connect everyone in Australia ... who takes part in our game.
"The new elements in the InteractSport system will allow us to revolutionise the way we manage our membership and talk to our fans."
The new technology platform will provide an easy to use online registration system for netball's vast participation base and the new MyNetball digital hub of community netball will connect people across all levels of the sport, from the Australian Netball Diamonds to state and local associations and clubs.
Online registration and management has been a success for Football Federation Australia via the MyFootballClub program. InteractSport also services online needs for Cricket Australia and Tennis Australia.
