Nine Events launches Eventopia to make ticketing easy

Nine Events has launched Australia's newest event ticketing company, Eventopia.

Offering a more simplified approach to ticketing management than Nine's existing Ticketek network, Eventopia is a self-service ticketing platform that allows event organisers to sell, market and manage their events. Eventopia also promises no hidden charges, no set-up costs and the cloud-based platform means events can be built and tickets on-sale to the public within minutes.

Eventopia has already secured foundation clients including lifestyle exhibition The Block Live, The NRL Footy Show and Australia's Funniest Home Videos.

Nine Events Managing Director Geoff Jones explains "Eventopia is built to serve a market not currently serviced by large full service ticketing agents. Every week across Australia and New Zealand thousands of events take place with relatively small attendances. Until now local organisers have had to manage their ticket sales themselves or outsource it.
