PerfectGym makes use of Big Data to inform clients

Leading industry management solutions provider PerfectGym has announced the release of PowerBI and Big Data Analytics, expanding upon its powerful, customisable Dashboard, which allows clients to create a number of summary statistics that can be communicated in real-time metrics of a clubs performance in key business areas including current debtors and their status, daily and historic visits, net gain, yield and many other measurable indicators.
Continueing to utilise best in class technologies, frameworks and data analysis tools across its Platform, PerfectGym has upgraded and implemented all current report engines and tools of the Microsoft Power BI suite of big data analytic tools and plugins.
Noticing an increase in client demand for API access, scheduled reports and extracts for the purpose of utilising data analytics and business intelligence to better understand member behaviour and predict future club performance, PerfectGym set out to empower all their clients with a suite of powerful analytic tools which could be viewed at any time, for any period of time, without the need for uploading and syncing with third party BI tools.
The past six months have seen the creation of a Big Data and Business intelligence team within PerfectGym, with the goal of creating and embedding a BI engine into the PerfectGym application which would be able to give both high level and granular data in relation to core club statistics including;
Club Performance - a high level and granular view of yield per club, year on year performance as it pertains to net gain, financial metrics by department, and the utilisation of past performance to predict future revenue by department.
Member Performance - a summary view of a variety of member statistics in relation to yield by membership, average length of membership, popularity of membership offering, demographics of the member and the predicted performance of net increase or decrease in future months.
Booking Statistics - a holistic occupancy report by club for all classes booked, attended, cancelled and ‘no-showed’ during a defined period; In addition to looking at individual performance, rating and popularity of a variety of classes, in addition to gender split per class, day and category. Through these statistics, clubs will be more well informed as to the real dollar cost vs yield of classes, and can assist in making decisions surrounding what extra classes to add or remove from a schedule
Churn Report - through the analysis of historical cancellations in relation to a minimum commitment period, and the statistics surrounding renewals of term memberships vs failure to renew; a series of reports and predictions can be generated that convey the likelihood of Churn or leavers in the future. This allows clubs to predict cashflow more accurately, and to implement retention strategies to ensure that the percentage of leavers/churners is kept to a minimum.
PerfectGym’s PowerBI engine will be on display at the upcoming Fitness Show in Sydney at Perfect Gym’s booth 1012 in the Industry Zone on level 2.
