PMY Group announces senior management team appointments
Fast growing strategy, investment and management business the PMY Group has announced the further expansion of its management team with the appointment of Sam Long as Head of Projects and Brodie Carr as Head of Commercial Advisory.
Long joins PMY having spent over 10 years working in project management, most recently with global construction services company, Cockram Construction where he was the Project Director for the Disney expansion project in Anaheim, California.
Long has worked in Australia, the UK and the USA, working on high profile projects including The Zaha Hadid London Aquatic Centre, the London 2012 Olympic Games, the British and Irish Lions Tour of Australia 2013 and the MCG Smart Stadium technology upgrade.
His experience in technology and ICT infrastructure projects will add a significant amount of leadership to the team and bolster the project management offering within PMY.
Having spent over 20 years working in the sport, entertainment and media industries, Carr brings to PMY a wealth of commercial, business and brand partnership skills sourced from a variety of roles across the globe.
Most recently the founder of a successful sports marketing and brand agency based in France, Carr was previously global Chief Executive of the World Surf League (WSL). During his tenure at the WSL Carr drove a significant business and cultural change, transforming the organisation into a highly professional and profitable media and entertainment entity. Brodie’s commercial strategy, sponsorship and marketing skills will be a great asset to PMY.
Led by Piers Thompson, PMY Chief Executive (Asia Pacific), the appointment of the pair rounds out the senior management team which also includes Darren Collopy, Head of Technical Consulting and John de Carvalho Head of Digital and Technology Solutions.
Commenting on the appointments, Thompson stated “the addition of Sam and Brodie to the PMY Senior Management Team adds significant capability and their experience and leadership skills will help the business to continue to provide quality service to our clients and to foster further growth at a rapid pace.”
