Rebel Group partners with SportingPulse

The Rebel group has partnered with Sporting Pulse to become a retail sporting goods partner for community sport.
Rebel Group Chief Executive, John Joyce and Sporting Pulse Chief Executive, Nick Maywald, have announced that the companies have entered into a partnership that will see Rebel Group named exclusive Retail Sporting Goods Partner of community sport for SportingPulse's network of grassroots associations, clubs and leagues.
The key driver of the partnership was the Rebel Group's intention to contribute to the development of Australian grassroots sport and the opportunity SportingPulse provided to help them do this. The key components of the partnership include:
• SportingPulse will promote Rebel Sport's Season Pass and Amart All Sports' Team Amart loyalty program to the 2.8 million sporting participants on its network;
• SportingPulse will organise Rebel Sports and Amart All Sports sales events at the local sporting grounds and clubs of SportingPulse partners;
• Rebel Group will hold in-store VIP nights for all Season Pass and Team Amart members to provide additional benefit for SportingPulse users who join the program.
If consumers join the loyalty programs through SportingPulse, they will be entitled to exclusive discounts.
In addition, anyone who joins before 31st March, 2011 will receive a one-off 15% discount off the retail price of footwear purchased before 30th April, 2011.
Joyce said that Rebel Group was proud to be supporting Australian community sport through its partnership with SportingPulse, stating "our partnership with SportingPulse allows us to help develop and nurture Australia's future athletes by giving them greater access to sporting and leisure equipment, apparel and footwear at discounted prices. SportingPulse's unique business model of sharing commercial profits with community sport means that we are also able to contribute financially to the development of grassroots sport in Australia.
"Sport brings Australians together. At Rebel Group, we recognise the importance of supporting the development of sport at a grassroots level. We are looking forward to launching our rewards to the SportingPulse database and working together with the team as the network's official Retail Sporting Goods Partner."
Maywald said that as a key influencer in community sport, it was important for SportingPulse to provide its audience with relevant opportunities to help further their development as amateur athletes, adding "at SportingPulse, we are passionate about improving and developing Australian community sport and making it more enjoyable for everyone involved.
"Rebel Group's commitment will help us continue to deliver the advanced technology tools to help the millions of players, supporters, volunteers and administrators who manage grassroots clubs and associations."
Rebel Group operates through Rebel Sport Australia-wide and through Amart All Sports in Queensland and South Australia.
