revolutioniseSPORT named finalist in 2019 NSW Business Chamber Awards

Australian sports technology platform revolutioniseSPORT has been nominated a finalist in the 2019 NSW Business Chamber Awards.
Based in Sydney Olympic Park and owned by sports management company SportsGrid Pty Ltd, the platform has grown to service over 150 state and national sporting organisations (and their 7,000 clubs) in only a few short years.
Company founder and Managing Director Alex Mednis (pictured) first brought his vision to life in 2012 when he was working at his local water polo club. Being a sports administrator, he saw the need to introduce a technical solution to the sports industry that would minimise administrative tasks and reduce the need for paper and time-consuming excel spreadsheets. This created the foundations of the membership database that is now currently revolutioniseSPORT, which services sporting organisations not just in Australia but internationally throughout eight countries, including New Zealand, Singapore and Canada.
Commenting on the nomination, Mednis stated “we’re extraordinarily proud that our ‘whole-of-sport’ platform is inclusive of the needs of volunteers as well as professionals working in the sports industry, and it is vital we have a platform that helps these organisations run efficiently with respect to both their immediate and longer term goals.
“Our ultimate aim with revolutioniseSPORT is to be the game changer that this industry needs, by developing and mobilising technology to empower people to continue to nourish their passion in sport.”
Expanding across other parts of the industry, SportsGrid have also recently launched several other business arms including the Australian Sports Professionals Association and the Sports Club Management Expo.
Designed to fill a gap in the market, both the Association and Expo, are aimed towards the sport industry professionals (at the paid and volunteer workforce respectively) to provide opportunities for networking, mentoring and learning experiences to better the industry as a whole.
The 2019 NSW Business Chamber Awards will be announced on Friday 31st May.
