Digital sports marketing agency, Greenroom Digital has sold its non-Australian and New Zealand operations to CSM Sport and Entertainment.

As reported by Sponsorship News, the deal follows CSM’s 2018 investment in Greenroom Digital’s business, which at the time was aimed at helping the fledgling Melbourne-based company expand internationally.

The move saw Greenroom open an office in London and look at expansion opportunities in Asia.

Under the new agreement, Greenroom co-founder, Tom Huggins will remain in the UK office and oversee CSM’s digital and data team and will remain a director of the Australian and New Zealand businesses.

Greenroom’s Australian and New Zealand operation will be led by co-founder, Nick Biggin, and continue to work in partnership with CSM.

Biggin said the new arrangement would enable the group to leverage the scale and strengths of the CSM business while maintaining independence and flexibility in the Australia and New Zealand markets.

CSM group Chief Executive, Matt Vandrau, said that after working for a few years with Greenroom Digital its international team was now fully integrated into the CSM business.

December last year saw Greenroom Digital launch Greenroom Connect, a performance marketing platform aimed at assisting clients achieve commercial growth from audiences in sport and entertainment.

Launched in partnership with CSM the product aims to provide a better understanding of target audiences and the ability to automate segmentation, ensuring the client message is communicated at the right time.
