May 20, 2014

Media group SportsPro has been named as a silver sponsor of the 2014 Sports Fan Summit, to be staged at the MCG from 30th June to 2nd July.

The three-day conference considers the topic of ‘Fan Engagement’ from numerous different perspectives and disciplines; membership and ticketing, stadiums and arenas, sponsorship, events, community and social responsibility, fan development and fan engagement, social media and digital.

The 2014 Summit will include key presentations on fan engagement from Procter & Gamble, Dallas Cowboys, Seattle Seahawks, the NFL and MLS, Red Bull, Ohio State University, Cricket Australia, Fenway Sports Management, South Sydney and Western Sydney Wanderers.

Delegates will hear how the Seahawk’s ‘12th man’ got the team through to Super Bowl XLVIII, how Procter & Gamble thanked ‘Moms’ all over the world and why 50,000 cricket fans all wore pink. With 11 keynote speakers from North America and Europe discussing their own experience and delivering case studies, the conference is delivering on its promise of “bringing the world’s best down to Australia”.

In particular, SportsPro will be the presenting sponsor of Austin Lally’s keynote speech. Lally, as the Global President of Procter & Gamble’s Braun & appliances division, will  explain the strategy behind both P&G’s and Braun’s sponsorship activities.

SportsPro’s news app, available to download for free on all Apple and Android devices, will be the presenting sponsor of the conference’s live stream and post-event video on demand service.

There will also be other exciting joint initiatives between SportsPro and the Sports Fan Summit, which will be announced in the coming weeks.
