The P.A. People back Qantas Assure International Beach Festival with infrastructure support
February 6, 2017

Held last November, the Qantas Assure International Beach Festival in the southern Sydney suburb of Cronulla featured four days of events that celebrated the Australian beach lifestyle.

Hosted by professional surfer Sally Fitzgibbons, the festival was centred around a World Surf League QS6000 professional women’s surfing event and featured the Shire Mile Run, Ironwoman Invitational, Ocean Swim, a festival village, live music, fitness workouts and an open-air cinema.

As the latest in a series of high-profile surfing event support, this was another opportunity for The P.A. People to assist an experienced organisation with a range of audio-visual technology.

Services provided included: radio infrastructure for all security an event control staff; a public address system for the main surfing event (an onbeach system for event timing announcements); av public address system for VIP and athletes areas as well as for the band stage and coverage for associated activities and general patron experience

Commenting on The P.A. People’s input, James Henshaw, Group Event Manager for organiser Fitzgibbons International stated “the team The P.A. People were great to work with on the International Beach Festival and were willing to go above and beyond to assist on site.

“Given that there were multiple events happening at the same time across the four days of the event, the fact that everything went so smoothly is testament to their hard work.”
