Ticketserv completes transition to SeatGeek Asia Pacific Pty Limited

Ticketserv completes transition to SeatGeek Asia Pacific Pty Limited
March 6, 2018

With fast growing international ticketing platform SeatGeek having acquired Australia’s TicketServ last year, implementation of a formal company name change from Ticketserv Asia Pacific Pty Limited to SeatGeek Asia Pacific Pty Limited has now been completed.

Explaining the change, SeatGeek Asia Pacific Managing Director, Ian English advised “after the acquisition of TicketServ and the TopTix operations by SeatGeek last year, we have moved to align all of the businesses under the Seatgeek branding and now, with the official change to Seatgeek Asia Pacific, we have formalised this last step in the process.”

While the transition has seen a change of business name, the company’s ABN remains the same at 73 138 137 989, as does its ACN at 138 137 989.

In addition, email addresses have changed to @seatgeek.com although all staff and services remain the same.

SeatGeek serves as the ticketing platform for more than 500 organisations on four continents, including English Premier League and US Major League Soccer clubs, as well as London West End theatres.

This week, the Dallas Cowboys of the NFL joined the SeatGeek network having opted out of their relationship with Ticketmaster.

SeatGeek has also recently announced the launch of SeatGeek Enterprise, its first foray into primary ticketing with the SRO product as its mainstay.

This further extends the SeatGeek Open product suite which features an open platform with best-in-class software, to power a modern box office that is mobile, flexible, and widely accessible.

SeatGeek Open enables artists and teams to sell tickets directly within other apps and websites, in mobile environments where fans are spending time and consuming content.

SeatGeek Open also eliminates fraud by allowing for verification of ticket barcodes across a variety of ticket sellers. Historically, the resale verification solutions offered by teams and ticketing companies have been restricted to only a single officially-sanctioned resale marketplace. Through SeatGeek Open, ticket resale verification technology will be made widely available to third-party sellers to verify that a ticket is valid before posting, allowing fans to buy and sell from any site they choose without fear that their ticket may not work at the gate.
