TigerTurf receives AFL Synthetic Turf Product Approval

Tiger Turf has announced that its 'Total Turf' product has successfully passed laboratory tests to meet the AFL/Cricket Australia Community Level standards for synthetic turf playing surface for the games of Australian football and cricket.
This makes Tiger Turf one of three AFL approved synthetic turf manufacturers.
Total Turf is a 65mm pile height surface combining an 'S' and 'C shaped yarn, infilled with sand and rubber.
The 'S' shaped yarn gives the surface structure due to the inbuilt memory so even after heavy use the blades spring back preventing the turf from lying flat while the 'C' shaped yarn sits slightly below the 'S' shaped yarn to encapsulate the rubber infill, reducing the infill splash for improved player comfort.
To ensure the finished surface meets the required critical fall height, the surface is installed over a 24mm prefabricated Brook shockpad. It has a unique capacity to absorb high impact loads for safer playing environment and comes with a 20 year warranty. Insitu shockpads do not offer the same fall height as this system.
The total system creates a surface that feels and plays like natural grass giving players and coaches peace of mind.
Tiger Turf has already installed several recreational ovals at throughout Victoria with Tiger Turf products:
• Mill Park Secondary College
• Mazenod College
• Kunyung Primary School
• St Thomas the Apostle Primary School.
An announcement of Tiger Turf's first AFL synthetic turf installation is expected soon.
