World first performance clothing ‘to change how people exercise’
April 14, 2017

Leading performance apparel company 776BC have released a world first range of performance clothing that it believes will change how people exercise; blending technology and fabric together in a way that's never done before.

Released this week, MOTION, by 776BC has taken biomechanical mapping (the understanding of pivot points of the body) and applied it to fabric for the first time - producing a garment that provides real time feedback to athletes and coaches as to how the athlete is moving, their technique and form.

The only way to get the same results prior to the launch of MOTION, was using computers and nodes in a 3D laboratory.

MOTION will provide unparalleled training benefits and positions 776BC as a key player in the category with a superior product set to revolutionise the way people of all sporting abilities perform. By removing the lab setting and using the MOTION range, coaches, athletes and fitness fanatics are able to assess their movement and improve performance across all types of fitness activities in a real-life setting.

Alongside the new range 776BC are launching the 776BC MOTION Companion app, allowing wearers of this innovative performance clothing to take their training to the next level. The 776BC MOTION Companion app will inform users which markers or lines on the garment to focus on for correct technique for a specific exercise or activity and also provide instructional videos - making it perfect for any training environment, regardless of whether you train alone or with a coach.

776BC was founded by two-time Olympian and Beijing Rowing Men's Four silver medallist Cameron McKenzie-McHarg and his wife Kate McKenzie-McHarg, and the pair believe that their performance clothing will transform the fitness industry.

The business has already secured a four-year partnership with Rowing Australia that will see 776BC become the Official Apparel Partner and Sponsor of Rowing Australia and the Australian Rowing Team.

776BC will provide clothing and uniform services to Rowing Australia’s staff and for the organisation’s event activities, while also kitting out the Australian Rowing Team.

All four of Australia’s national rowing teams, Junior, Under 21, Under 23 and Senior, will be outfitted by 776BC for clothing and uniform for international competitions.
