The recent 18th FINA World Championships in Gwangju, Republic of Korea, marked a 10 year partnership between FINA (Fédération Internationale de Natation) and leading swimming pool designer and manufacturer Myrtha Pools.

FINA President, Dr Julio C. Maglione; FINA Executive Director, Cornel Marculescu and Myrtha Pools Chief Executive, Roberto Colletto met after the High Diving finals in Chosun University to celebrate this significant anniversary.

At the meeting, Dr Maglione explained “the 10-year relationship between FINA and Myrtha Pools has demonstrated to be of tremendous benefit to international sport events, as a strong joint effort was created to promote and grow participation in the aquatics.”

To guarantee top performances and highlight each athlete’s skill, FINA require the best in facilities and equipment associated with their events. Myrtha Pools’ flexible and precise design and build system meets the demanding needs of the world’s top aquatic competition venues for swimming, water polo, artistic swimming, diving and high diving.

Besides the temporary pool installations for many previous FINA, Olympic and other major aquatics events, Myrtha Pools have successfully installed its pools in major aquatic facilities around the world, including swimming and diving pools for international competitions, as well as recreational pools in leisure centres and waterparks.

Marculescu noted “FINA counts on the quality and excellence of the pools installed by Myrtha Pools for FINA’s biggest event, the FINA World Championships and, we also believe that they offer the best solution for most of the aquatic facilities worldwide.”

Colletto added “Myrtha Pools is proud of our 10-year partnership with FINA.

“We have formed an excellent relationship with FINA family, and I am delighted to see continued determination in both FINA and Myrtha Pools to work toward building on the progress that has been made in the last ten years. Together we have been able to grow and advance the sport of swimming, support swimmers of all levels and also introduce new swimmers to the water.”

Marculescu concluded “the growth of swimming at every stage, has been supported by Myrtha Pools’ expertise and commitment.
