Benefit Pocket named as official app of 2022 Gold Coast Marathon

Benefit Pocket was announced today as the Official Health App of the 2022 Village Roadshow Theme Parks Gold Coast Marathon held from 2nd to 3rd July 2022.
Recovery is a major part of any athlete’s training and competition programs and the participants in the Gold Coast Marathon events can now have all the help their aching muscles need right in their pockets.
According to Benefit Pocket Experience Partner Lucy Clark, the app’s signature course on athlete recovery is designed for people of all ages and abilities to recover properly and perform better.
Clark explains “Benefit Pocket is an app that partners with experts to deliver online health and wellbeing content and courses.
“We are excited to have recently launched a new course focused on athlete recovery which covers the what, how and when of recovery so participants can find what works best for them so they can improve they athletic performance.
“Our growing community of advisors includes experts such as the former Director of Recovery for the Australian Olympic Team Professor Shona Halson and leading sports performance dietician Michelle Cort.
“So, people who use the app are in the very best hands.”
Clark said people who sign up to the app at the ASICS Sport and Leisure Expo at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre on 1st-2nd July will receive a free Gold Coast Marathon head warming snood.
Events Management Queensland Chief EXecutive Cameron Hart welcomed Benefit Pocket to the event advising “nothing is more important to us than the health and wellbeing of our participants.
“So having Benefit Pocket on board gives us great comfort that everyone can access the expert information they need for the very best recovery possible.”
Benefit Pocket joins the existing list of event partners which provide positive training and wellbeing advice to runners including Asics, Health and Wellbeing Queensland, Fixx Nutrition, Polar, Nu-Pure and CPL.
The 2022 Village Roadshow Theme Parks Gold Coast Marathon weekend will also feature the ASICS Half Marathon, Southern Cross University 10km Run, Gold Coast Airport 5km Run and the Health and Wellbeing Queensland 2km and 4km Junior Dashes.
