Industry innovations to get boost through Australia Sports Technology Week

Set to present one of the largest gatherings of people with a passion for data, digital and technology in the sport, entertainment and media industries, Australia Sports Technology Week will deliver six events across seven days in Melbourne next month.

Staged by the Australian Sports Technologies Network (ASTN), Vumero and LaunchVic and running from 17th to 24th August, Australia Sports Technology Week is expected to bring together more than 1,500 people and provide opportunities for learning, networking, investment, sales and career development.

One of the key events of the week, the Australia Sports Analytics & Technology Conference returns on Friday 23rd August.

With over 1,100 attendees in 2018, the Conference is the premier forum for industry professionals and executives interested in the role of data, digital and technology in the Australian and global sports, media and entertainment industry.

Australia Sports Technology Week events
Sports Tech Cup Hackathon - 17th and 18th August

The Australia Sports Tech Cup Hackathon returns to Melbourne. The two-day hackathon is focused on giving students and young professionals an opportunity to work with key data sets in order to provide real-world insights.
 
ASTN Innovation Masterclass with Professor Jerome Engel - 19th August
Professor Jerome Engel will lead a day discussing innovation and investment in the world of sports technology, alongside Pitcher Partners, Madgwicks Lawyers & AusIndustry.
 
ASTN Networking Evening & Pitch Session - 20th August
A networking evening put on by the Australian Sports Technologies Network with local industry and international startups, including a number of selected startup presentations 
 
Partner Workshops - 21st August
A series of in-depth Workshops will be hosted by partner organisations around Melbourne. These Workshops will provide specific deep dives into sports technologies and best practices.
