John Lee, the former Chief Executive of the Tourism and Transport Forum and NRL clubs the Sydney Roosters and South Sydney, who stepped down from his role as Director General of the Queensland Department of Tourism, Innovation and Sport last year, has been named as the Chair of SportsGrid’s Advisory Board.
The sports technology company, which owns and operates the industry leading sports management technology platform revolutioniseSPORT, created its Advisory Board last year with Sport NSW Chair and Scouts NSW Chief Executive, Carolyn Campbell the first Chair.
revolutioniseSPORT is an online, cloud-based, end-to-end platform for sporting and community organisations servicing over 250 state and national sporting organisations as well as 15,000 sporting clubs across Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and the Asia Pacific with clients including Athletics Australia, Australian Sailing, Hockey Australia and Softball Australia.
Currently the Director of Corporate Strategy for the VALD human measurement technology company, Lee’s multi-sector industry experience includes having been a Director of the North Queensland Cowboys and Netball Australia, a former Australian Sports Commission Board member and having served as Director General of the NSW Department of Premier and Cabinet.

His philosophy on life is to be kind to all and to indulge those that you love.
His passions include family, Newcastle United and motorcycles (especially British ones) as well, until February 2025 when she left us, caring a little pug named Stella.
