Jonas Leisure named as leading communicator among leisure businesses in Australia and New Zealand
Software solutions provider Jonas Leisure has been recognised for its industry-leading communications and marketing activities in Australia and New Zealand with the announcement that it is to receive the Industry Supplier Award in the 2018 Leisure Industry Communication and Marketing Awards.
Presented by Australasian Leisure Management, the Award recognises how Jonas Leisure not only markets its solutions for aquatic, fitness, recreation, sport and related facilities but also plays a wider role in backing a range of professional development initiatives across the industry.
With brands including Envibe, Centaman, Gladstone, Udio, Centaman Entrance Control, CAP2, MyMemberSales and The Retention People, Jonas Leisure provides solutions that it says “will transform your business, boost your efficiency and make your life easier”.
Catering to a wide range of leisure industry sectors and with price points applicable to both multi- and single-site facility operators, Jonas Leisure’s technological innovations are matched by its excellence communicating and connecting with consumers, clients and stakeholders across all media.
This includes blogs on its various products; the engagement of specialist public relations agency Last Word for its media relations; masterclass events for clients and support for industry initiatives including Australian Leisure Facilities Association Queensland Awards and the Aquatic and Recreation Institute (ARI) Mentor Program.
Commenting on the Award, Australasian Leisure Management Publisher Nigel Benton stated “with a range of industry technology solutions, the team at Jonas Leisure are remarkable in how they communicate their activities with clients, stakeholders and the wider industry.
“Such effective communication is not easy to achieve so effectively, so our award recognises their excellence in achieving this.”
Jonas Leisure Chief Executive Mike Henton said it was humbling to receive an award that recognised the effort staff across the organisation put into communicating effectively with customers and industry.
Henton stated “engaging with industry and encouraging two-way conversations with customers play a vital role in driving the innovation behind everything we do. It’s a great feeling to have this recognised by a publication like Australasian Leisure Management, which is so well regarded in our industry.”
The Leisure Industry Communication and Marketing Awards acknowledge how the leisure industry - covering aquatics, attractions, entertainment, events, fitness, parks, recreation, sport, tourism and venues - communicates how it entertains, enriches and improves quality of life as well as how it engages with consumers to generate business success and deals with scrutiny.
Introducing the Awards, Benton added “these awards recognise excellence among individuals, organisations, businesses and government.
“When done well, marketing and communications build a brand’s reputation and add to the bottom line of any business. At the same time, communications and marketing are also about dealing with crisis and standing up to scrutiny, something that several of our winners have had to face in the past year.
“The awards recognise a cross section of activities from international businesses to start-ups, industry icons and national organisations to small operators, showing that effective communications and marketing is not just for big operators, and is more about a commitment to sharing what an organisation excels at.”
