Paddle Australia go live with GoMembership events platform

Paddle Australia has become the first live Australian customer of GoMembership, a fast-growing Membership and Events Platform developed by Azolve. GoMembership is used by over 80 Sports Governing Bodies and National Sporting Organisations worldwide and supports nearly 1.4 million members and 38,000 clubs.
Paddle Australia is the National Sporting Organisation (NSO) and governing body for paddle sports in Australia and its purpose is to connect Australian recreational, club, pathway and performance paddlers to create a United Paddling Community.
Paddle Australia and its six State Member Associations are embarking upon a digital transformation program to attract, guide, support, develop and grow the paddling community and unite the sport in Australia.
GoMembership will play a pivotal role in this plan by delivering its Membership & Events Platform to streamline all aspects of Paddle Australia’s administration including memberships, events, courses, club administration, coach licensing and qualifications and credentials.
GoMembership will form the hub for a number of integrated business solutions ensuring a seamless, secure and enhanced experience for all stakeholders in the paddling community.
A successful Phase 1 of the GoMembership rollout has just taken place that sees the membership and events capabilities within GoMembership live for Paddle Australia, the six State Member Associations and over 100 Affiliated Clubs. All Affiliated Clubs have access to Club+, the powerful club administration package which allows clubs to manage and engage their own members.
Phase 2 will see further embedding of the membership and events functionality across all Affiliated Clubs along with the integration of the GoMembership qualifications and credentials capabilities.
David Pring, GoMembership Chief Executive commented: “We are delighted to be working with Paddle Australia and expand GoMembership into new territory. It’s clear to see the team’s passion for their sport and their strong desire to see paddling seriously develop in Australia. It is an honour to work with them as their technology provider and through GoMembership, help realise their goals.”
Phil Jones Chief Executive of Paddle Australia explained: “A key driver behind the implementation of GoMembership has been Paddle Australia’s desire to add value to our State Member Associations and Affiliated Clubs by minimising the time and effort required to administer their members and the sport, freeing up time for development, advocacy and getting out on the water! We have been pleased and excited by the early positive feedback from Affiliated Clubs as is reflected in the following two quotes.”
Mark Bretag, Secretary of Newy Paddlers added: “Paddle Australia’s initiative to implement the GoMembership Platform should be applauded. The professional approach they have taken in training and support has made the transformation simple and easy to follow. There are many benefits, no one more important than uniting the paddling community with a consistent message that paddling is a sport to be loved and enjoyed.
"As a club we are particularly excited with how it will streamline administration and give us the ability to customise what we want and how to communicate with our members. The end result is more time on the water, which makes us all happy.”
Craig Pollington, Director Member Services at Avoca Kayak Club shares Mark’s enthusiasm: “Having been involved in some of the early design and engagement workshops I have been impressed with the approach taken by Azolve and Paddle Australia to ensure the new GoMembership system meets the everyday practical needs of the clubs.
"The change management approach has also ensured there has been ample exposure, training and resources for all clubs to up skill in the new system, ask questions and be coached through the process. I’m looking forward to members of Avoca Kayak Club - and as we grow future members - benefitting from the new, improved and expanded experience just as much as club administrators will.”
