Partnership extended between SportWest and ActiveXchange

The peak industry body for sport in Western Australia, SportWest, will extend its partnership with ActiveXchange until June 2024, with ActiveXchange continuing as SportWest’s data partner for community sport participation and engagement.
ActiveXchange will also receive naming rights of the Official of the Year Award at the upcoming 2022 SportWest Awards to extend recognition of the role Officials play in sport every week.
The extended term will add more sports to the SportsEye platform and will provide an opportunity for SportWest members to continue to engage with the ActiveXchange award winning “SportsEye” online intelligence platform. The platform is designed to translate existing membership data into powerful insight to guide future participation growth and infrastructure planning.
SportWest Chief Executive Matt Fulton said the partnership extension was an exciting opportunity for sports in WA and noted “following an expression of interest, SportWest Members, over the last year have had the opportunity to use the “SportsEye” platform to get a better understanding of data surrounding their sport and assist in shaping more informed, connected decisions.
“This technology has taken the guess work out of interpreting data for sports and allowed them to build strong business cases for further investment as well as guide their programs to increase participation and get West Australians active.”
ActiveXchange Chief Executive James Ellender said ActiveXchange was looking forward to continuing the partnership with SportWest and enthused “we’re thrilled to extend our partnership with SportWest and increase the number of sports connected to SportsEye and even more pleased to support the recognition of Officials contribution to the fabric of sport – without them, there is no competition. The partnership with Matt and the team at SportWest is powerful, truly building a foundation of collaborative data sharing across the industry to empower data-driven, evidence-based decisions to shape more active, healthy communities across the state.”
SportWest exists to promote, strengthen and advocate for the sports community of Western Australia and represent more than 130 members and over 5,000 sporting clubs involved in the conduct, administration, promotion and development of sport and related activities.
